The great commandment of the Lord (Matthew 28:19) charging his disciples go out and teach all nations, for all that believe to be baptize in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

From the Greek word baptizo translated to complete immersed or submerged, only those that believe following the teachings and repentance are completely immersed in water in congruent with the Word.

Baptism is not performed for neither good attendance, child birth or during death. This service is by no means the removal or forgiveness of sins, it is an aftermath of accepting Jesus Christ the Messiah.

It serves as a symbol of good conscience towards God (1 Peter 3:21). Also a manner of showing death towards the work of the flesh (which is sin that entangles us badly) and alive (resurrected) towards the work of the Spirit in Christ Jesus (Romans 6-8).
